Hydepark School, Knockloughrim

education

In 2009 mha were appointed by the Hydepark Education Trust to provide a new secondary school on the site of a former primary school in Knockloughrim which would accommodate 120 pupils.

The existing building had become a drab and unsightly eye-sore in the rural landscape but mha transformed the dilapidated, red brick structure into an attractive, pristine, building which was fit-for-purpose. The new school included a major overhaul and extension with the addition of external mobile buildings.

Given the success of this project, and the continuing growth at the school, mha are currently carrying out a feasibility study and design for a additional extension to the current building which provide new facilities such as a sports hall and self-directed learning environment.
